Advances in Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery 10

This publication consists of 49 papers selected among the 160 presentations given at the 10th meeting of the European Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery in September 1992 in Stockholm. The papers have been selected on basis of novelty, originality and scientific technique and application, radiosurgery, pain and epilepsy. Some of the papers are given by invited experts in the field. Clinical, technical and theoretical aspects are dealt with. New techniques are presented on pain treatment, alleviation of tremor, usuage of navigator technique in stereotactic operations, radiosurgery of AVM, acoustic neurinomas and epilepsy, gliomas and on surgical technique in treatment of epilepsy. Some papers deal with basic neurobiological aspects of neurotransplantation, pain and radiosurgery.§This publication is of interest to neurosurgeons utilizing stereotactic techniques practising radiosurgery and being involved in the treatment of movement disorders, pain and epilepsy. Since many papers are dedicated to basic neurobiological aspects of neurotransplantation and pain, the publication is also of interest to neuroscientists in general.
