The letters were copied from the originals by Thomas Sellwood, who lived in her family, and dedicated them to the late duke of Bedford. His manuscript, which is in the library at Woburn Abbey, being faithfully transcribed, permission was easily obtained to pub lish this illustrious monument of female virtue.
